Advantages of MICScan

Noninvasive and nondestructive.  MICScan™ measurements do not require pipe disassembly or draining of the FPS system.

Sampling measurements can be performed on risers, mains, and branches to quickly indicate the extent of MIC damage.

FPS system assessment in 2-3 days for a 30,000 square foot facility, 12-15 days for 850,000 square foot facility.  Time required dependent upon extent of MIC damage, required sampling and access to the FPS piping.

● Areas of MIC damage are marked both on the FPS piping and provided with the final report.

● Unlike water chemistry tests which can only determine the presence but never the exact location of MIC, MICScan will pinpoint the specific problem area with unbelievable accuracy.

● Cost Effective:
   -High Speed Inspection
   -1 or 2 Person Operation
-No Personnel Costs to Drain & Refill FPS With Water

● No Business Interruption:
   -FPS Remains In-Service
   -No Operational Downtime
-No Required Notification to Fire Protection Authorities

● Nondestructive/Noninvasive:
   -No Pipe Disassembly
   -No System Draining
   -No Mess
